Polar bears, gorillas, a cobalt rooster, a red herd and floating lotus flowers: a series of oversized sculptures installed along a lake and a miniature railway.
Big outdoor installations are a different kind of sculpture. They have to read from a moving train or across a lake, survive sun and rain, and make families stop for a photo.
For this series we created a full cast of oversized animals and flowers, placed along a lake shore and a miniature railway line.
The cast
- A white polar bear family and blue gorillas at the water's edge
- Faceted low-poly bears in bright red
- A giant cobalt rooster and a herd of red bulls
- A multicolor patchwork giraffe and a golden geometric stag
- Giant lotus flowers floating on the lake
Built for outdoors
Each figure is engineered for weather and for the public: sealed finishes, stable bases and anchoring planned by Franklin before carving starts.
Planning a park, a trail, an attraction or a seasonal event? We design and build complete installations, from a single landmark piece to a whole route.
